Manifesting Goes Mainstream.

The law of attraction has found its way to Gen Z, making manifestation the internet's latest wellness obsession. Teens are making vision boards and "speaking it into existence" while social media users re-share memes promising them wealth next week if they "claim it in the comments."

The idea that you can create your own reality from intentional thoughts.

And the people believe it. Did you know...The Secret, a book based on the belief of the Law of Attraction is the highest grossing self-help publication of all time, with over 30 million copies sold?

5 /

According to a 2018 Pew Research study roughly 6 in 10 American adults believe in at least one belief from the New Age movement such as reincarnation, astrology or spiritual energy in objects.

The future is coming... and fast, but that's why you're here. To stay out in front of it, ahead of the curve. And while we can't control what's next, we can always see it coming.

Fact vs. Fiction.
It's not all black and white.

The Myth.

Your brain doesn't have any cosmic superpowers to make things happen. Positive thinking alone will not change your circumstances. Commenting YES under that post isn't going to land you "20 Grand in Hand."

The science supporting manifestation is less about the law of attraction and more about setting intentions and following through.

Having an idea at the forefront of your mind makes you more likely to engage in behaviors that support achieving that goal.

Focus on the Future.
Not the Quarter.

If you actively participate in thinking about and planning for the future, you are already engaged in the process of creating it.

The power of being front of mind.

If manifestation means that for those who believe deeply enough, "it" will be – and because of how the brain works, it will – doesn't this create a fertile opportunity for brands to share ideas that become self-fulfilling prophecies?
