While there are no licensed establishments that allow cannabis consumption to happen alongside alcohol, these industries are wholly intertwined. The restrictions which prevent establishments from holding dual licenses may rest in the hands of state lawmakers, but sales data in states where cannabis is legal confirm consumers are already using cannabis and alcohol interchangeably. And while it follows suit that cannabis users & alcohol drinkers can harmoniously share a common social experience, it’s worth acknowledging that not all psychoactives were meant to live together. Cue Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch, Don’t Kill my Vibe.” (We’ll get to psychedelics in a second.)
